With over 25 years of experience, Paula, founder of Timeless Kitchen Design L.L.C., is a passionate leader in kitchen and bath design. As a highly regarded Interior Designer, she holds certifications such as NKBA Certified Master Kitchen & Bath Designer, Certified Architectural Color Consultant, and Certified Living in Place Professional. Paula’s expertise has earned her numerous awards and positions on the K+BB Magazine Advisory Council and as an NKBA Subject Matter Expert. She is actively involved in the industry through speaking, teaching, curriculum development, mentoring, and writing, with a focus on creativity, innovation, technology, wellness, and inclusive design. Amanda brings a grounded and forward-thinking perspective to her role on the NWSID council. Her career blends academic accomplishment, thoughtful design leadership, and the discipline shaped by years of military service, positioning her to help guide the chapter toward greater creativity, relevance, and community impact. As the Founder & Creative Director of Amanda George Interior Design LLC, she leads a full-service Pacific Northwest firm specializing in residential and commercial projects, from remodels to new builds. Her holistic, client-focused approach emphasizes “livable luxury”—balancing comfort and elegance, honoring the old while embracing the new, and creating healthy, inspiring spaces for people to live and thrive. With a lifelong passion for design and strong entrepreneurial vision, Amanda is honored to serve with integrity, innovation, and a steadfast commitment to elevating the interior design profession across the Northwest.
Treasurer
Emma joined the industry after a previous career in graphic design and marketing. She joined NWSID several years ago while studying interior design at Highline College, which is how she made the connections leading to her role as Junior Designer at Quartz & Bone Interiors. Prior to that she worked for other small businesses, including several years working in fine arts dealership at Davidson Galleries. She is very detail oriented and organized, and would love to contribute to the NWSID board as Treasurer. She likes black cats, historic homes, original art, small cozy kitchens, and the lost art of cursive handwriting. She hates shopping, clutter, and the word 'busy.' She is a lifetime resident of the Pacific Northwest and has been immersed in the study of visual art and design for over thirteen years.

I consider myself an Evangelist for NWSID! And am excited to continue to be your Membership Chair. NWSID has supported and boosted my practice. I love this organization, which has given me strategic collaborations and strong vendor relationships. I have been a practicing interior designer since 2010, after graduating from Bellevue College’s three-year interior design program in 2008. My award winning work has been featured in the Wall Street Journal, Portrait Magazine, Seattle Times, and 425 Magazine.
I love to ski, drink red wine, and hike when not creating interior spaces.

Kathryn has been a member of the Seattle design community since 2010, and is honored to give back by serving as NWSID Programs Chair. With dual degrees in Theatre Arts & Interior Design, Kathryn is known for translating conceptual ideas into totally personalized, livable spaces. She creates homes that feel intentional, authentic, and custom-tailored to her clients’ lifestyle. Since 2020, Kathryn has partnered with general contractors to offer comprehensive kitchen & bath design-build services. In 2025 she became an in-house designer for NorthLight Custom Builders, who’ve earned a stellar reputation for quality, communication, and reliability. Kathryn’s mission is to bring more soulful beauty & playful vibrancy into the world, uplifting the lives of those who inhabit her spaces.

Shruthi is the CEO of Tarini Stoneworks Inc., a custom manufacturer and supplier of handmade semiprecious stone interiors based in the Pacific Northwest. Tarini has become a destination for rare gemstone slabs, luxury baths, statement furniture, and luxury décor — each piece consciously crafted by heritage artisans to celebrate the natural beauty and energy of unique semiprecious stones. As an NWSID member since 2023, she supports the PNW design community with personalized material guidance, concierge-level project support from sourcing to delivery, and exclusive access to one-of-a-kind semiprecious stones for residential, commercial, and hospitality projects. Her vision with Tarini is to bring wellness into interiors by deepening our connection to the earth and introducing an element of sacredness and inspiration into the spaces we live, work, and gather in while honoring heritage craftsmanship, pushing creativity in material design, and transforming spaces into environments that feel both aesthetically striking and soulfully grounding.

Shirey Home Pro has stood for honesty, integrity, client respect, and quality for over thirty years. Jon Elkins, the owner for the past three years, has continued the Shirey quality and tradition and being part of a family-run business. He has been in the construction industry for over five years and has worked in the remodeling and home repair industry for the last fifteen years. He believes the best way to support clients is to become their Personal Home Contractor. Our role is to be an adviser along with expert carpenters to our clients, providing sound, honest advice on remodeling and home repair.
Jon’s role is “to help people realize their dreams for a better quality of life and ensure their investments in their home become rewarding. I’m fortunate. Established in 1956, Pugerudes is known for its deep product expertise, precision fabrication, and reliable installations.
Jill specializes in helping designers translate their concepts into high-performing, beautiful solutions — whether it’s drapery, custom roman shades, shutters, cornices, or exterior shading systems. Her team manages the entire process in-house, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and a smooth client experience.

Student Outreach Coordinator
Mariah Hebenthal brings a wealth of experience and enthusiasm to her role as Student Engagement Chair for the NWSID Council. As a Designer Account Executive at Sherwin-Williams, she supports the greater Seattle and Alaska markets, building strong relationships with design professionals and fostering collaboration across the industry. Her passion for the interior design industry shines through her work with designers and design students, where she focuses on building meaningful connections and creating opportunities for growth.
Mariah’s industry background includes her role within the NKBA Puget Sound Chapter, where she serves as Entrant Chair for the Design Competition Committee going on five years, helping the chapter earn national recognition and earning her place in the NKBA Thirty Under 30 Class of 2026. With a BA in Business Administration and Marketing from Central Washington University, Mariah combines technical expertise with creativity to inspire the next generation of designers. She is committed to bridging the gap between education and professional practice, ensuring students feel supported and empowered as they enter the design community.
